JL Technologies ("we", "us") is a licensed low-voltage contractor (CSLB #1117910) serving Southern California. This policy covers jltechca.com and any information you share with us by phone, email, WhatsApp or the online booking link.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you call, email, message us on WhatsApp, book an assessment or submit an invitation to bid, we receive what you choose to share, typically your name, company, phone, email, project address and details about the work.
Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested and time of request) to deliver and secure the site. We do not run advertising trackers or analytics tools on this site.
Ask JL assistant. Questions typed into the on-site Ask JL assistant are answered from pre-written content inside your browser. We do not receive or store those messages. Please don't enter sensitive personal information into it.
How we use it
- Respond to your enquiry and schedule site assessments
- Prepare estimates, proposals and bid responses
- Perform, document and invoice contracted work
- Keep records required by licensing, tax and warranty obligations
- Keep the website secure and working
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Third-party services
Some features run on other companies' services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Google Calendar appointment scheduling: the "Request Assessment" booking page
- WhatsApp (Meta): if you message us there
- Google Fonts: loads the site's typeface; Google may receive your IP address
- Netlify: hosts the website
We may also share information with subcontractors, suppliers or manufacturers when needed to deliver your project, and with authorities when required by law.
Cookies
We do not set advertising or analytics cookies. The third-party services above may set their own cookies when you use them, such as when you open the booking page.
Project site photos
Site assessments and installs can capture photos, video and system configuration data from your property. We use that material only to scope, perform, document and support your project. We don't publish identifiable images of a client site without permission, and we plan flights to avoid capturing neighboring private property wherever practical.
Retention & security
We keep project and business records as long as needed for the work, warranties and legal or tax requirements, then delete or archive them securely. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your choices & California rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, including the right to know what we collect and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, email office@jltechca.com. We may need to verify your identity first.
Children
This site is intended for businesses and adult property owners. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above shows when it last changed; material changes will be noted on this page.
